Join the choir and learn the new choral composition "Remember" (SSAATTBB) by Tine Fris-Ronsfeld. We will progress as far as possible in 90 minutes — that’s why we call it Turbo Choir!

Networking pays off - especially for musicians and choirs. But why actually? In this session, we will explore the question of how to invest time and energy in networking in a meaningful way. How do we reach people outside our scene? And how do we arouse interest and enthusiasm for our topics and projects? Using concrete examples, we will develop strategies together to strengthen existing networks and build new connections.

This open masterclass focuses on the art of conducting jazz and pop choirs. Participants in the Swabian Choral Association's C3 pop choir conductor training programme will lead the workshop choir and receive direct feedback and practical tips from Erik Sohn - one of the most renowned experts in vocal ensemble work. The audience is invited to actively experience how musical impulses, rehearsal methods and conducting techniques interact in everyday choral life. An inspiring session for anyone who wants to learn, teach or simply understand choral conducting better.

What are the five most important minutes of your entire rehearsal? Get the answer in this playful workshop, where I’ll share how you can break the ice between people of all ages with fun and simple "Icebreakers", and get your group into musical flow and deep focus through singing, movement, and play.

Here, we focus on the moment in which music is born, without tonal or rhythmic constraints. We explore the expressive possibilities of the voice beyond mere singing, discover density and time, and let ourselves be inspired by images and guided by our ears and intuition.

We'll warm up with laughter, find our groove together and raise our voices together – in songs built for big voices, clinking glasses and shared smiles. Previous experience? Our start to the day together

Unusual rhythms, captivating groove: In this workshop, we explore circle songs with odd meters — playful, intuitive, and full of energy. We will immerse ourselves in unfamiliar time signatures, find the flow together, and experience how lively and fascinating odd rhythms can be.

A good warm-up is much more than just warming up the voice! This course offers ideas for possible warm-up phases, insights into the Lichtenberger® Model, and exercises for training musical skills such as groove, sound, and intonation, as well as small warm-up songs and canons.

Stephan Lutermann will work with participants on the basics of classical conducting. The focus will not only be on the conducting patterns but also on body posture, beat levels, impulses, etc. Stephan will provide practical exercises for an ideal introduction to the world of classical choral music.

A short workshop for presence, resonance and expression. With simple exercises we let go of control and open ourselves to a state of lively permeability. For anyone who wants to vibrate more deeply – when singing, leading or being.

Julian will show you all the important basics of creating beats with your mouth and voice in this workshop. The most important thing: If it sounds good, it’s right! You’ll learn the key sounds and patterns, the proper handling of microphones and PA systems, and how to read and notate beats.

In this workshop, you’ll learn where to find funding opportunities for your choir projects and what you need to consider when applying. You will get an introduction to fundraising for choirs – and together we will develop ideas for fundraising activities within the choir.

Panda van Proosdij will present her UNIQUE "Voice & Physique" method with the help of various practical tools and exercises. Her method aims to support the voice by creating good body awareness, a healthy posture, and balance, which also has a positive effect on reducing stress and anxiety.

Join us for an entertaining and interactive vocal jam session with Sven! We discover ‘instrumental singing’ and learn easy three-part harmony songs together.

Through looping, complex sound loops and even entire songs can be created. Whether on stage or just at home, looping is fun and a great tool for working on intonation, timing, and rhythm. The basics of using and handling loops will be explained — and tried out!

Workshop with mindset exercises for performance situations. Can stage fright be turned into calm? In this workshop, Felix Powroslo shows techniques from acting, MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), systemic coaching, and more, to reduce nervousness and create space for joyful calm and confident presence.

Singing together is a powerful, connecting experience. Often overlooked by many musicians: "Guilty Pleasure" music – the music you enjoy but are a bit ashamed to admit – truly captures this connection. Sven believes it's important not to dismiss this genre. In this workshop, we will explore "Guilty Pleasure" hits and discover why they are so irresistible. Come and sing with your whole heart!

Stephan Lutermann addresses current challenges in choral work. Topics like sustainability, digitalization and gender in choral work are urgent and are changing the choral world. Stephan will sharpen your awareness of these topics and show opportunities and chances for your own work.

Get ready for a big jam session – singing and grooving – with Merel!
With some simple melodies as the starting point, we'll celebrate vocal music in the here and now – accompanied by body percussion and movement to get you going. All are welcome! ♥️

In this session, Peder Karlsson shares his experiences as an a cappella singer and leader, explaining how singers can contribute with personal sounds and how conductors can bring this together into a collective expression.

We sing well-known pop songs in cool, polyphonic arrangements – without sheet music! Just sing along, sing with your ear and your heart, have fun – it sounds really good straight away! For everyone who wants to groove and be part of a community, whether you're a professional or a shower singer!

The new choir on the block (NCOTB, Hamburg) is a modern a cappella pop choir from Hamburg, founded in 2018. Under the direction of Michael Thüne, the choir inspires with 25 singers and powerful arrangements of current pop hits as well as classics from the 1990s and 2000s.

Starting the day together

This workshop explores how production techniques shaped jazz and pop vocal music — from early recordings to today’s digital tools. We cover key innovations and how producers craft the unique vocal sounds of each era.

Circle Singing is a creative and spontaneous vocal form in which multi-part improvisations emerge in a group. Through simple patterns, we develop grooves, harmonies, and small songs together. No prior knowledge required – just a love for singing and a desire to experiment!

We embark on a discovery journey into the inner sound spaces of our voices, where we feel and hear our own vocal resonance. The focus is on how we can influence our outer sound through the perception of our inner vocal brilliance and expand it for active singing.

Together, we will explore approaches to discriminatory awareness in choir work. From preventive measures to sensitive language and barrier-free rehearsal spaces, we will look at how choir work can be structured and where we can each make an individual contribution.

Enjoy engaging your body when singing! Move your body and let it support your voice – for more freedom in singing!

In this workshop, you will learn how to create a soundscape through loops, experiment with sounds, and grow songs. Either bring an initial idea, some lyrics, or a sound concept, or create something completely new on the spot.

This workshop expands the discussion of vocal ranges in choirs and explores new perspectives. Why do we use them? What defines a vocal range? What are the benefits and limitations? And what happens when we break the traditional mold? Through discussion and experimentation, we will challenge tradition together!

Workshop with exercises and improvisation using body and voice. Choir meets movement! Voice and body merge — from gentle and sacred to powerful and archaic. Exercises from the "physical theatre" and "performance arts" strengthen expression and connection in the choir. Playful, lively, experimental — no prior knowledge required, just joy in creating together!

Singing in front of people can disrupt our nervous system. Together, we will explore what resources are within us — and how we can activate and nurture them independently. With mindfulness exercises & self-compassion as our anchor.

Exercises for intuition and swarm intelligence in the choir. A choir that breathes, feels, and sounds like one unit. This workshop shows how sensitivity, spontaneity, and flow make the music come alive. With practical exercises from acting, Felix Powroslo will guide you to a deeper connection within the choir. Experience how true collective music-making unfolds!

In this workshop, you’ll choose one of two standards from the American Songbook and go through the steps of “owning” the music. We’ll explore the personal connection to the lyrics, discuss the rhythm, embellish the melody, add reharmonizations, experiment with different grooves, tempos, and time signatures, and finally implement various arranging ideas. As you work with the music, you’ll discover what matters to you in the song, embrace its essence, and elevate it from the page. We will emphasize the musical tools of phrasing, dynamics, and improvisation. After covering some of these new areas, we will break into groups and create a unique version of each song. Together, we will make a new musical statement and reinvent these pieces to integrate your own musical vision. I guarantee that if you bring part of yourself into the song, it will resonate with everyone. It’s also important to develop good material, because if you’re lucky, you’ll sing YOUR song throughout your entire career!
